Summary	This post-introductory course is intended for students who have successfully completed Foundation German Language 1 (ELCG07009) or have reached an equivalent standard (Standard Grade/GCSE). It is not suitable for absolute beginners or students with knowledge of German at Highers/A-level or above. All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination.

Learning Outcomes
Students will further develop reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in German. They will further develop knowledge of basic grammatical structures and a vocabulary of approximately 1000 high-frequency words and phrases.
