These Regulations are subject to approval.

Each year of study of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes is composed of courses. A course is a unit of teaching and learning formally offered within the University, which carries credit expressed in credit points and which may contribute to a University award (certificate, diploma or degree).

Courses are arranged within each Subject Area by Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) level, ranging from Level 7 up to Level 11 courses. Level 7 and 8 courses are most commonly taken in the first and second year of a full-time degree programme.

The information provided about each course enables students, with the advice of their Personal Tutor and with reference to the appropriate Degree Programme Table, to select appropriate further courses that interest them, for which they meet the entry requirements, and that meet the requirements of their degree programme.
