Summary | This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.
This course offers a more prolonged and ambitious investigation into an individual topic. Your choice of topic must be feasible and approved by your tutor, and will focus on an area of research within the broad field of contemporary art and visual culture. You will identify a research question and methodology pertaining to your topic and provide through your submission a well-constructed argument that deals with your question. You are expected to show sustained skills in research and analysis.
Aims
1.Develop the skills necessary to identify a creative and individual research project and appropriate methodologies for an extended research project.
2.Extend your research, contextualisation and reflective skills to enable the successful completion of an sustained research project.
3.Nurture visual and written communication skills that enable you to critically articulate your analytical and creative processes in the form of a Project Book.
