SummaryThis course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.

In this course you will focus on an individual topic within the broad field of contemporary art and visual culture. It may relate directly to your work or extend beyond the normal parameters of your practice. The project must be feasible and approved by your tutor at the end of Stage 3. You will identify a research question relating to your topic and utilise appropriate methodologies to enable you to produce an in-depth reflection, supporting argument and contextualisation in your responses.

Aims of course
1 Develop the skills necessary to identify a suitable research project and appropriate methods for your research.
2 Extend your research and analytical skills to enable the successful completion of your research project.
3 Nurture visual and written communication skills that enable you to critically articulate your analytical and creative processes in the form of a Project Book.
