SummaryIndicative course content
To consolidate a professional awareness of working methods and practices within current painting practice.

Aims of course
1 To be able to critically analyise a range of appropriate methods of display and exhibition.
2 To show a high level of self determination in the organisation and documentation of studio practice.
3 To determine the most appropriate strategies and contexts for the installation of work.

Mode of delivery
Portfolio, Exhibition, Individual monitoring, Studio based.
Course description Development and completion of all projects for final degree assessment.

Articulate critical position in relation to dissemination of artistic work.

Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: ( Painting 3 (ARTX09040) AND Research Drawing 3 (Painting) (ARTX09041) AND Professional Practice 3 (Painting) (ARTX09042) AND Art 3: Visual Research (ARTX09046))

Prohibited Combinations Other requirements This course is only available to ECA students on degree programmes belonging to the School of Art.

  1. Present a folio of evidence showing a variety of solutions to the display and installation of work.
  2. Demonstrate a level of critical awareness and analysis in relation to personal and current practice.
  3. Demonstrate a high level of self-determinaton within the organisation, planning of study and dissemination of studio practice.
