Students are expected to be able to identify, develop and present self generated ideas by employing a range of appropriate strategies.
Aims of course
1 To clearly identify and select areas of individual interest and develop a personal visual language
2 To develop and analyse the key ideas that underpin studio practice in relation to students own interests and aspects of current art practice
3 To be able to undertake a reflective analysis of material gathered through a wide range of drawing and research processes.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Present evidence of identifying and gathering research materials relevant to individual practice from a range of personally selected sources
- Present evidence of the undertaking of a critical and reflective analysis of material through a range of documentation, drawing and related research methods.
- Present evidence of an understanding of appropriate methods of development and presentation to best communicate selected ideas.
