Summary | Students will undertake a dissertation linked to a work-based placement of no more than 15,000 words on a topic related to global health, health systems and/or health inequalities, to be submitted by a date specified in the University Regulations, usually mid-August. The placements generally consist of eight weeks of on-location research with a host organisation. The dissertation is an extended piece of scholarship in which a student is expected to design and implement a substantive piece of independent research in global health, health systems and/or health inequalities. The work is expected to engage critically with the literature in the field, building upon relevant concepts and theories discussed in the taught elements of the degree, and may also involve the collection and analysis of primary data. |
