This course is designed to enable students to extend existing drawing abilities and skills to make series of considered and related outcomes which reveal ambitious and imaginative responses to a variety of selected and personal sources including still life, the human form and architectural interiors which are informed by research into the work of other artists. Understanding of line, tone and composition will be integrated into a coherent and personal range of vigorous and expressive drawings to reveal a distinctive visual language through drawing. |

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, through attending classes and engaging in directed and independent study, students should be able to:
RESEARCH
Extend and exploit an ambitious range of drawing methods which are informed by research and visual enquiry using a sketchbook.
PRACTICE
Construct, compose and design a range of related distinctive drawings successfully combining a variety of materials
PRESENT
select, edit and present a distinct and ambitious range of mixed media artworks
