The undergraduate conference consists of poster presentations prepared by students, based on their dissertation research and presenting the importance of this work for the discipline of Geography, including its various subfields. It will be preceded by two workshops. The lecture series consists of a series of visions for Geography presented by senior academics, focussing on their respective research specialisms. |

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students will have further developed their skills of engagement in rigorous discussion with peers and senior colleagues about the prospects for the discipline of Geography. Students will be in a better position to reflect on the broader discipline in which their specialist knowledge is situated. They will have gained transferable skills in the preparation of posters based on research, including skills of effective visual presentation of their research. Students will also have reflected on the entirety of their degree programme. They will be capable of critically reviewing their knowledge and the current understanding in their discipline set in the context of claims and debates among recent research themes. They will have an understanding of how those research themes seek to solve some of the most pressing issues in today's world.
