Summary | This course looks at attempts, by authors from various periods in the Italian narrative tradition, to produce 'total' works where the implied content exceeds the material container. Topics will include framed narratives, combinatorial fictions, theories of unity and multiplicity of plot, allegoresis, and the metaphorics of the baroque and futurist movements. |
