Summary	This course will explore the relevant literature that provides the evidence base for the contemporary management of patients requiring removable prostheses. It will review the impact of ageing on the oral structures and treatment approaches that restore or improve function in partially or totally edentate patients; experience will be gained in the clinical management of such patients.
