Summary | This course is divided into two main themes: Professional skills and clinical skills.
Professional skills:
This module will cover the topics:
Introduction to communication skills
Introduction to Personal and Professional Development Planning
Effective team work
The course is taught through practical work supported by keynote lectures.
Clinical skills:
The module will introduce students to basic clinical skills and the concept of assessing a clinical case using the SOAP (subjective, objective, assessment, plan) approach. GEP classes will focus mainly on developing observation, palpation and auscultation skills relevant to canine, equine and bovine veterinary medicine. |
