SummaryThis course aims to give you an understanding from the molecular mechanisms through the physiology and pathophysiology of conception, contraception, assisted reproduction, pregnancy and parturition, and reproductive cancers. It will develop your understanding of the experimental evidence from in vitro, in vivo, animal models and clinical trials. This will be set in the translational context of clinical issues in the fields of gynaecology, obstetrics, urology and neonatology

- on specific topics you can raise with staff during lectures and workshops
- on you suggested selection of papers to present for your poster presentation
- from the Course Organiser, other academic staff and your peers on your presentation and poster
¿ You will have an opportunity to write a practice exam question which will be marked and you will receive specific personal written feedback,
- you will participate in an examination techniques workshop and an exam preparation session, all to provide feedback on specific questions on topics raised by students,
- You will be able to review your examination scripts and you will receive individual feedback on your exam scripts

Learning Outcomes
At completion of this course you will have gained a:
¿ Knowledge of conception, contraception, assisted reproduction, pregnancy and parturition, and reproductive cancers, from their molecular mechanisms, physiology and pathophysiology.
¿ Critical understanding of experimental evidence from a wide range of in vitro, in vivo, animal models and clinical trials.
¿ Knowledge and critical understanding in the translational context of clinical issues in the fields of gynaecology, obstetrics, urology and neonatology.
¿ Scientific communication skills including oral and poster presentations
