Acronym : ACE-2-U01596 History of Art 2A: Art for the Elite and the Bourgeoisie, examines western art of recent centuries (from 1700 to 1900) within its wider social and political context. Classes at the end of the semester consider the methods and concepts especially relevant to the study of this material. Entrants will normally be expected to have a pass in History of Art 1 or the equivalent. Entry Requirements? This course is only available to part year visiting students. The objective of the course is to enhance the knowledge and skills of students who already possess a basic familiarity with the discipline, and to broaden their knowledge of the history of art.
