Acronym : PPL-P-EGCA-EL Classes will provide an account of major topics in the grammar of English from a cognitive linguistics perspective. All of the following classes
Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
(a) greater understanding of how Modern English grammar works
(b) preparation for more advanced work involving syntactic theories (c) basic grounding in aspects of Cognitive Grammar and Construction Grammar Assessment Information
Students will be assessed by means of one extended piece of written work of c.4000 words.
