Specific Learning Difficulties : Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Specific Language Impair (ED1066)? Credit Points : 15 ? SCQF Level : 11 ? Acronym : EDU-P-ED1066 This module is designed to examine issues relating to the specific learning difficulties of Dyspraxia, ADHD and SLI. It is important that professionals are aware of the nature of the difficulties experienced by learners with such specific difficulties. It is also necessary for professionals to be able to identify such difficulties and to play a part in the assessment process. Consideration must also be given to appropriate teaching and learning approaches to facilitate access to the curriculum. The main aim of this module is to broaden awareness of perspectives and approaches thus enabling teachers to be more effective at class and subject level in working with children, parents and other professionals. Course members who wish an award in Specific Learning Difficulties should have completed the core modules of the PG Certificate in Education Support and normally the module Specific Learning Difficulties : Dyslexia.
