Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes

1. To further understanding of key concepts in areas of formal description fundamental to the analysis of English as a language of the present day and of the past.
2. To develop awareness of the stylistic and metrical analysis of poetic texts.

Assessment Information

Coursework only, consisting of a class exam and an essay.
