You will complete a 40-credit dissertation in Linguistics or Social Anthropology (40 credits, Group A). Students taking the Social Anthropology dissertation are expected to use the summer of their third year completing research for their Dissertation.
You will take 2 courses in LEL from any category (Foundation, Skills, Linguistics, or English Language), and 2 Social Anthropology courses at Level 10 (80 credits, Group B).
The LEL Honours handbook gives further details about the courses being offered in any one year, as well as about restrictions on choice of courses. Students must consult this handbook regarding the selection of courses. Some LEL courses appear in more than one category, but you cannot take the same course twice.
