| Course description | The approaches explored often stem from descriptive translation studies and/or the discipline's interest in cultural studies, comparative literature and literary theory. Issues addressed will include retranslation,  translation and post-colonialism, translation and gender, and translation and the asymmetrical power relations between languages and cultures. |
