Students will receive guidance on identifying a suitable area for research, constructing a research proposal and preparing an annotated bibliography / literature review. |

| Course description |

This course begins in Year 3 and is completed in year 4 with the submission of students' Dissertations. As such it is a non-assessed course of preparation that introduces students to the Dissertation e.g. its scope, literature searching. There are two tasks in year 3 and these are the crafting of a topic and proposal (Semester 2) and an annotated bibliography of four papers related to their proposal. The latter, the bibliography, will be written over the summer between year 3 and year 4 and submitted on the day of return to studies in their final year.
