Learning Outcomes 
    On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
    
        - put together a research proposal that is practical and suitable for a particular topic
 - make justified choices about the kinds of research methods to use
 - make optimal use of available resources and explore topics through independent study
 - identify and utilise relevant texts as part of their research
 - be in a position to proceed to the primary researching and writing-up of their project in Year 4.
