Learning Outcomes 
    On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
    
        - Learn an introduction to mathematical modelling of a given observed phenomena.
 - Thoroughly understand the applications of tensor calculus in mechanics, with applications to fluid mechanics, geophysics and magnetohydrodynamics.
 - Understand the relation between local conservation laws and global balance equations in continuum models.
