| Summary | The synoptic examination will ask broad-based questions that take an overview of the whole Programme to establish your overall understanding of the impact of major themes that have an important role across the field of reproductive biology. | 
 
| Course description | 
    
    These major themes would include (but are not limited to): 
 
Cell-cell interactions and signalling 
Tissue remodelling 
Angiogenesis 
Genomics/Proteomics 
Environmental impact 
Hypothalamic-pituitary control 
Inflammation/Immune sytem (dys)function 
Meiotic and mitotic cell division, differentiation, growth and death 
Stem cells in reproductive processes and disease 
Application of model systems to translational medicine e.g. Fertlity manipulation 
Reproductive cancers 
Research Methodologies 
 
The examination will test your understanding and appreciation of the underlying importance of these themes.
