| On completion of this course, the student will be able to: 
        articulate the problems associated with building theories of religion from African perpectivesdifferentiate between African interpretations and the appropriation of Western concepts as if they were indigenouscritically analyse the approaches to the study of religions by the African scholars examined; explain the relevance of post-colonial perspectives to African views of Religious Studiesexpress in written and verbal forms how competing theories in the study of religions by African scholar critique each other |
