Learning Outcomes
The assessment in the course will address demonstrated learning of the following kinds:
* Ability to describe accurately, compare, and assess critically examples of different current approaches to biblical interpretation.
* Ability to assess critically the impact of biblical criticism on the modern use and interpretation of the Bible, and to analyse various responses to biblical criticism.
* Ability to analyse biblical texts and scholarly interpretation of them.
* Ability to discuss these matters intelligently in a seminar setting and based on regular preparation of assigned reading material.
* Ability to identify key terms and their meanings.
* Ability to demonstrate good judgement about how to judge the relative importance of items on course bibliographies.
