This course is intended to enable students to build on their personal drawing language and expression, gathering research material based on a specific theme, subject or idea. The course will allow students to develop a sustained and focused body of work through discussions with the tutor and carrying out work in their own time beyond the classes. Students will be encouraged to creating drawings that engage in a dialogue with their work, questioning what drawing can be, challenging their own thoughts and approaches and pushing the boundaries of expression. |

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- On completion of this course through class hours, directed and independent study, students will be able to;
RESEARCH
develop ideas from initial sketches through to finished compositions which demonstrate a personal response
- PRACTICE
challenge new and existing skills in handling a range of media to investigate subject matter
- PRESENT
create a coherent body of drawings which explore the creative potential of drawing both as an independent discipline and to support other art and design activities.
