By the end of this course, students should be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the architectural history of Edinburgh in its wider cultural and political context
Explain the relationship between architecture and its urban setting
Identify and discuss the different architectural styles and influences, and urban patterns
Analyse the architecture of an Edinburgh building with regard to its historical and urban context.
