- data interpretation and practical skills, including those relevant to lab research projects (egs. simple quantitation/calculation of molarity/dilutions for accurate pipetting/positive & negative controls/sample size and statistics).

aims; introduction; justification; methods; potential problems/solutions; costs; timeline.
- public speaking skills (debates/presentation/question and answer sessions).
