Learning Outcomes 
    On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
    
        - form a mature and critical understanding of an aspect of pre-modern Hinduism.
 - analyse and evaluate a range of primary sources relating to an aspect of pre-modern Hinduism and provide a critical assessment of scholarly discussion of this topic.
 - develop skills in critically assessing an aspect of pre-modern Hinduism which they can transfer to the study of other religions and areas of cultural history.
 - communicate their awareness of an aspect of pre-modern Hinduism as a unique human endeavour which at the same time overlaps with other religions and cultures.
 - develop skills based on their independent writing projects and attain levels of articulacy and coherence in class discussion appropriate to the level of study.
