To develop an understanding of methods of information gathering, and the collection of visual resources appropriate to the discipline. The development of visual material through a wide range of approaches to drawing, as a way of initiating a personal perspective to practice 
 
Aims of course 
1 To engage in specialist drawing and research in relation to art practice. 
2 To develop methodology of research in drawing through studio practice and self directed study 
3 To test materials and processes to gain skills and knowledge towards visualization of ideas

Learning Outcomes 
    On completion of this course, the student will be able to:
    
        - Demonstrate an ability to locate and order visual information from one or more direct sources, exercising initiative and planning.
 - Evaluate visual information and synthesise ideas through drawing and other constructed images.
 - Identify and test appropriate methods to communicate ideas.
