| Summary | Generic skills and knowledge are necessary in all aspects of criminal justice social work.  However specialist knowledge and skills are required in practice with different client groups, practice in a range of settings and the management of these combinations.  This course will allow practitioners and managers to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of a specialist field of practice.  The expectation will be that this relates to their actual area of practice or management and will therefore need prior approval from the programme director. |

| Additional Class Delivery Information | 
A plan of independent study will be developed covering 6 days with the student and their tutor.  The exception will be a Good Practice in Social Work Management course delivered over 4 workshop days with 2 days of online learning. |
