Learning Outcomes 
|     Thorough understanding of the main properties of Banach and Hilbert spaces and linear operators acting on them. The Hahn-Banach theorem, Baire's theorem and its consequences. Familiarity with weak topologies, Krein-Milman theorem. Thorough understanding of the concepts and tools developed in the spectral theory of compact operators and C* algebras.
