| Summary | This course runs for 3 hours per week throughout the year. Classes are a mixture of formal grammar lectures and seminars (Mondays at 11-12) plus two hours of written and spoken language clases with native speakers. Since it is designed to cater for students wishing to continue with Portuguese beyond 2nd year in a Modern Languages Degree, it is not simply a 'holiday' language course. Points of grammar will be covered on a weekly basis in a grammar class and these will be reinforced in small group spoken and written language classes with the intention of consolidating the student's proficiency in the 4 core skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. |
