| Course description | What does comparative research involve? How can it help us to explain political processes and events? By using comparison as a method, and drawing on a wide range of cases and themes, the course will enable students to better understand key debates and developments in political science (and beyond). |

a) demonstrate knowledge of the comparative method and its applications;
b) show familiarity with core texts in the field of comparative politics;
c) critically analyse key political processes and institutions in comparative perspective,
