| Course description | A course for beginners with no previous knowledge of Swedish, designed to give absolute beginners a basic, working knowledge of spoken and written Swedish. The course is not suitable for students with previous knowledge of Swedish.
All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
| Basic knowledge of Swedish, development of grammar and oral skills and ability to use them in a wide variety of situations. In addition, the course aims to develop confidence in language learning, understanding and responding to speakers of other languages in appropriate situations. |
Assessment Information
Coursework 50% (two class tests and Homework assignments)
Degree exam 50% (A two-hour written paper)
All students take all elements of assessment, including the examination. |
