Course descriptionThe aim of this course is to understand the role of full and
partial coverage indirect restorations in dental patient care.
Entry Requirements (not applicable to Visiting Students)
Pre-requisites Students MUST have passed: Introduction to Clinical Evidence (DENT11105) AND Diagnosis and treatment planning (DENT11106) AND Direct Restorations (DENT11107) AND Occlusal management of the restored natural dentition (DENT11108) AND Endodontics in Primary Dental Care (DENT11109) AND Periodontal Management in Primary Dental Care (DENT11110)

¿ To know and apply the principles underpinning restoration selection and tooth preparation.
¿ To develop appropriate clinical skills to support the delivery of these restorations.
¿ To be able to evaluate clinical procedures effectively.
¿ To be able to use appropriate methods of temporary coverage.
¿ To be able to communicate effectively with Dental Technician colleagues.
¿ Select appropriate luting materials for crowns.
