|     To create a sense of the historical range of theological constructions of the world as creation; to foster an awareness of the leading issues governing contemporary constructions of these ideas; to increase the student's analytic and evaluative skills in theological thought; to promote skills of close textual reading; to enhance ability in literary and oral communication; to demonstrate an ability to identify key terms and their meanings; to demonstrate good judgement about how to judge the relative importance of items on course bibliographies.
