| Summary | Students will prepare an edition of part or all of one or more musical manuscripts or prints, or a musical document. The musical source should present some challenge, whether because of the complexity of the notation, the state of the manuscript or a complicated relationship between more than one source. The edition will be presented in a scholarly fashion and accompanied by all necessary critical apparatus and by an introduction of at least 1,000 words describing the source(s), their inter-relationship, the composer and the significance of the music being edited. |
