Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes 
| To develop creative keyboard skills and adaptability in a variety of styles including jazz, folk and pop. Students will examine harmonisation, improvisation and accompaniment in these styles, and will apply these skills to individual exploration, along with the practice and teaching of music beyond the ?classical? and formal concert environment. | 
 
 
Assessment Information 
Coursework (10%) 
The coursework will involve practical preparation from one tutorial to the next, with specific exercises and guidance in creative development from printed sheets given out at each session. 
Exams 
One 30-minute class exam in Semester 2, Week 8 (40%) and one 30 minute degree examination (50%) in the May examination diet.
