| Course description | We will discuss how climate change will have major consequences for food production, water availability, ecosystems and human health, migration pressures, and regional instability; to review the international legislation and policy that hopes to address some of these issues. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
* Define what is meant by the term 'climate change' and be able to reference the scientific evidence that reinforces this definition.
* Appreciate the difficulties in global unilateral agreement to effect policy related to climate change; and the gulf between developing and developed nations.
* Understand the consequences of climate change and the challenges faced in trying to overcome them. |
Assessment Information
| Formal summative written assessment will constitute 60% of the student's grade. Online assessment will incorporate a variety of activities will constitute 40% of their overall course grade and is taken to represent a formative assessment of learning throughout the programme. |
