| Course description | Indicative course content 
Students will continue to develop a technical and conceptual command of visual communication skills.  Through the creation of a substantial body of work, students will consider how to develop a personal theme or project in visual communication using photography, illustration, animation and/or computer based graphic design.     
 
Aims of course 
1 To foster a fully developed understanding of the interrelationship between the finished work and the critical thinking and research undertaken as part of its development.    
2 To foster development and resolution, to a high level, a personal theme or project in visual communication, using appropriate technical and conceptual strategies.   
3 To foster professional and well considered approaches in the presentation of work created in this module.

Learning Outcomes 
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:  
1. Show evidence of a high degree of originality and a distinct personal language in finished work and the research which supports it.  
2. Demonstrate a highly competent command of skills in the handling of a range of appropriate visual communication techniques.
