| Course description | Computer simulations are an increasingly important aspect of scientific discovery. This course exemplifies the process of modelling scientific questions for scientific computing, addressing the various computational issues and which techniques are most applicable, and issues associated with combining many computational techniques. This course is taught through case studies of topics of scientific computing applications. The particular examples considered may vary each year. Examples of possible topics include: molecular dynamics, atmospheric and oceanographic waves, and astronomical many body interactions. |
