On completion of this course, the student will be able to:  
1. Critically reflect upon day-to-day surgical practice in the context of recent advances/published findings  
2. Review the general principles of clinical study design, statistics, and critically evaluate the scientific literature in surgical research  
3. Deal with complex ethical and professional issues  
4. Lead online journal clubs and engage in critical dialogue with peers and experts in other subspecialties  
5. Make informed judgements on new and emerging issues in orthopaedic surgery |
