| Course description | The module will examine the theories and empirical evidence concerning the way that labour markets work. This is a very active area of current research, and will be of interest to students interested in the application of core theory to the real world. The first half of the module will examine theories and empirical evidence relating to human capital, labour supply, contracts and incentives. The second half of the module will examine theories and empirical evidence relating to impact of technical change and globalisation in understanding labour market inequality. |
