| Course description | This course will support students to apply for and gain their individual practitioner accreditation as a psychotherapist, which also includes the planning and execution of a personal development programme. Students will receive group and individual tutorial support in planning for and completing their accreditation application and the assessed course work consists of a full accreditation application. |

Learning Outcomes 
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:  
1. By the end of the course students should be 
-   competent to practise independently, safely and accountably as psychotherapists within professional and ethical frameworks 
  
2. -  able to make highly skilled use of the therapeutic relationship and process, as well as of clinical supervision related to their practice  
3. -  equipped with a wide range of psychotherapeutic skills including listening, attunement, responding, assessing, contracting etc  
4. -  equipped with specific professional expertise at the forefront of one or more practice specialisms 
-  able to demonstrate originality and creativity in the development and application of new knowledge, understanding and practices to their practice as psychotherapists 
  
5. -  able to exercise a high level of autonomy and initiative in their professional practice | 
 
 
Assessment Information 
| The assignment for this course is a full psychotherapy accreditation application of approximately 12,000 - 15,000 words |
