| Course description | Indicative course content 
Students will consider the creative possibilities of the digital and printed image. Students may investigate both traditional and contemporary methods of printed image making including etching, relief printmaking, digital imaging and photoshop. 
 
Aims of course 
1 To enable students to understand the interrelationship between finished work and the critical thinking and research undertaken as part of its development. 
2 To develop technical skills in a variety of digital and printed image making techniques and to foster understanding of two dimensional design. 
3 To develop familiarity with appropriate means of presentation and display of work made using media covered in this module.

On completion of this course, the student will be able to:  
1. Display evidence of originality and the beginnings of a personal language in finished work and the research which supports it.  
2. Show evidence of a basic understanding of design in a practical context to develop skills in digital and printed media. 
3. Show an understanding of the requirements of professional practice and appropriate presentation and selection skills at this level  |
