| Course description | Indicative course content 
This module allows students to explore the expressive potential of colour and texture in a wide variety of both two dimensional and three dimensional media.  Students may choose to work with a range of media including paint, stained glass, textiles or sculptural form. 
 
Aims of course 
1 To encourage students to undertake research practice in order to develop an individual and personal approach.   
2 To give students opportunities to explore the expressive potential of colour and texture as applied to two or three dimensional form.   
3 To help students develop familiarity with appropriate means of presentation and display of work made using media covered in this module

Learning Outcomes 
On completion of this course, the student will be able to:  
1. Display evidence of a developing originality and a personal language in finished work and the research which supports it.  
2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the expressive potential of colour and texture in two or three dimensional forms, combining a range of materials from various appropriate disciplines. 
3. Show an understanding of the requirements of professional practice and appropriate presentation and selection skills at this level.  |
