| Course description | Students will generally spend time with most of the doctors in a GP practice, observing consultations and conducting consultations under supervision. They will also be attached to other members of the primary health care team, for example practice nurse, district nurse and health visitor to observe their work and participate with them in their activities where appropriate. |

Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes 
| To acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to effectively and holistically diagnose clinical problems in the general practice setting. | 
 
 
Assessment Information 
There are 2 components to the assessment  
- Practice Tutor assessment (50%), comprising a standardised assessment of consulting skills (30%) and clinical knowledge, communication skills, attitudes and professional behaviour (20%). 
- Portfolio case (50%) |
