Summary of Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course the student will be able to:
i. Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used materials, their properties, uses and the way in which these influence product design.
ii. Recognise how everyday products have been manufactured and be able to safely manufacture a 'one of' mock up and prototype model using a variety of craft materials and processes.
iii. Design and manufacture products by applying design principles and skills, use theoretical models of the design process and use.
iv. Generate and communicate effectively design ideas using both traditional graphical presentation techniques/orthographic projections and computer aided drawings. |
