Indicative course content 
This course is designed to help you to contextualise contemporary practices, processes and theoretical debates in design. It offers you the opportunity to undertake a short investigation and appraisal of your practice in relation to its contemporary contexts that will allow you to situate your practice within a broader theoretical, material and technical context as it develops in semester 2. 
 
Aims of course 
1 To provide you with the opportunity to identify and pursue theoretical and contextual issues appropriate to the development of your practice. 
2 To provide you with the skills to research, propose, manage and undertake an analysis of the values underpinning your practice, anticipated audience/consumer and validating contexts.

2. ANALYSE: Show a clear knowledge of relevant theoretical, material and technical debates concerning your practice and an ability to situate your practice within a broader cultural and theoretical context.
